Disability Support Workers
Disability Support Workers provide care, emotional support, physical assistance, and supervision for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
The specifics of the role depend on the client. However, Disability Support Workers tend to focus on tasks that alleviate physical discomfort and promote social connectedness, independence, emotional wellbeing, and general health.
Disability Support Workers may work in clients' homes, in specialised care settings, hospitals, or other care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with domestic tasks and chores such as shopping, menu planning, cooking, washing, toileting, and cleaning
- Helping with outings, social activities, and other daily routines
- Providing companionship and support to assist clients in developing their existing skills, abilities, and confidence
- Supporting clients with personal care and hygiene needs
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes
📋 Requirements to Apply
- Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- National Police History Check (no disclosable outcomes)
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- First Aid & CPR certificate (preferred)
- Experience in the disability or aged care sector (preferred)
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities

Handyman / Cleaner / Driver / Yard Maintenance / Support Worker
Relief Wakes is currently seeking Cleaners, Carpenter/Handyman, Drivers, Yard Maintenance, and Support Workers to service the Northside & Southside of Brisbane and Ipswich QLD. These roles will involve supplying Support Care, Handyman & Maintenance, and Cleaning/Driving services to our clients.
Skills & Services Required
- Carpentry work and house repairs
- Home and garden maintenance
- Patching and minor painting
- Lawn mowing and hedge trimming
- Lawn maintenance services
- Current driver's licence
- National police history check (no disclosable outcomes)
About the Role
- Service clients across Brisbane Northside & Southside
- Provide support care, handyman & maintenance services
- Deliver cleaning and driving services to clients
- Work within NDIS guidelines and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records and shift notes
- Flexible hours and shifts available
Handyman Requirements
- Must have a current driver's licence
- Must have your own reliable vehicle
- Must have your own handyman tools
- Must have lawnmower and lawn equipment
- Must have your own phone
- Must hold a current Blue Card
- Must pass a national police history check
