Complex Bowel Care
Enquiries involving complex bowel care are assessed individually, including the participant’s plan, protocols, risks and worker competency requirements.
Enteral (Naso-Gastric Tube) Feeding
Enteral feeding enquiries are assessed against the participant’s documented plan, protocols, clinical oversight and worker competency requirements.
Urinary Catheter Management
Catheter support enquiries are assessed against documented procedures, participant needs, risks and worker competency requirements.
Subcutaneous Injections
Subcutaneous injection enquiries require documented instructions, appropriate clinical oversight and verified worker qualifications and competencies.
Complex Wound Management
Complex wound support enquiries are reviewed for documented clinical direction, scope, risks and appropriate worker qualifications.
Severe Dysphagia Management
Severe dysphagia enquiries are reviewed against the participant’s swallowing plan, risk controls, clinical direction and worker training requirements.
Additional Support Enquiries
Relief Wakes can discuss related support needs during assessment. Service acceptance depends on registration scope, participant documentation, safety, competent staffing and current capacity.
Medication support enquiries are assessed against current medication documentation, consent, risk controls and worker competency requirements.
Waste and infection-control support enquiries are assessed against the participant’s plan, relevant procedures, training and workplace safety requirements.
Who Can Access High Intensity Support?
Participants or referrers may enquire where the participant’s NDIS plan includes relevant support. Funding alone does not guarantee service acceptance; Relief Wakes confirms scope, safety, documentation, staffing and current capacity before services begin.
