Men Are Stubborn — But That's OK
Men are stubborn when it comes to asking for help. Men will bottle up their emotions and carry on like everything is fine — but sometimes they need a helping hand. There is no shame in asking for help. Everybody needs a helping hand from time to time.
Men's health and wellbeing is a key factor to a healthy society. Mental wellbeing comes from a healthy mind and healthy thinking. Sometimes men's health can deteriorate due to an unhealthy lifestyle — but it doesn't have to stay that way.
What You Need to Know
Understanding men's health challenges is the first step toward getting the right support and making real changes.
Heart Disease Risk
Men are more likely to die from heart disease at earlier ages. Diet, stress, and lack of exercise are major contributing factors that can be managed with the right support.
Only 30% Genetics
Only 30% of a man's overall health is determined by his genetics. 70% is controllable through lifestyle choices — meaning most health outcomes are within your power to change.
Workplace Risk
Men make up 50% of the workforce, yet 94% of all workplace fatalities are men. The three leading causes of reduced lifespan in men are cardiovascular disease, suicide, and motor vehicle accidents.
Activity Matters
Men who climb 50 stairs or walk 5 city blocks a day may lower their risk of heart attack by 25%. Simple daily movement makes a significant difference to long-term health outcomes.
Alcohol Impact
Globally, alcohol kills almost 6 times more men than women. Those who consume 4–10 drinks a week have a lower risk of type 2 diabetes. Drinking more than 10 drinks almost doubles your risk.
Sleep is Critical
Men who sleep 7–8 hours a night have about 60% less risk of fatal heart attack than those who sleep 5 hours or less. Quality sleep is one of the most powerful tools for men's health.
