Helpful Videos About Your NDIS
Your NDIS plan is all about you and your individual goals. Here's what you need to know.
Your NDIS Plan & Goals
Your NDIS plan outlines your goals and the supports you will receive from the NDIS, the community and other government supports to help you achieve those goals.
There are two key sections: "How will I achieve this goal?" and "How will I be supported?" — these help match your goals with the right funded supports.
Funded Support Categories
The goals in your plan will be matched with three funded support types: Core, Capacity-building, and Capital. Some people might have one funded support and others may have all three.
For your personalised funded supports, there is a total budget making it easier to monitor and use flexibly. For more information visit www.ndis.gov.au or call 1800 800 110.
Understanding Plan Reviews
Plan reviews are a normal part of the NDIS. Your plan review will help you to measure your progress against your personal goals, explore new goals, and identify any changes in your life.
When you become a participant in the NDIS, you will receive a plan which funds reasonable and necessary supports that assist you in your daily living. This plan also helps you achieve personal goals such as increasing your independence or learning a new skill.
Track Your Progress
Provide feedback on what supports are working and how you are progressing toward your goals.
Set New Goals
Explore and set new personal goals building on your previous achievements.
Review Timeline
Plan reviews can be scheduled up to two years apart, depending on your circumstances and goals.
👶 Children Under 6
For children up to six years of age, most plan reviews will be conducted by your Early Childhood Early Intervention Partner.
🧑 Ages 7–65
For children and people who are 7 to 65 years of age, depending on your situation, plan reviews will be conducted by a Local Area Coordinator or an NDIS planner.
🤝 NDIA Partners
The NDIA is partnering with experienced and qualified organisations across the country that have a strong understanding of the needs of people with disability, to deliver services such as Early Childhood Early Intervention and Local Area Coordination on behalf of the NDIA.
Once you're granted access to the NDIS, you'll be contacted to begin your planning conversation. For more information, visit ndis.gov.au, or call us on 1800 800 110.
