Teaching People to Fish for a Lifetime
AusCongo Network Incorporated (ACN) is a grassroots Australian charity registered as a Public Benevolent Institution. Founded by Pastor Constantin Mukendi in 2008, ACN was born out of a recognition that remittances alone cannot lift communities out of poverty — what's needed is sustainable, skills-based development.
ACN operates programs in two countries — supporting Congolese communities in Australia with social enterprise, skills training, and NDIS services; and running a Community & Business Centre in Mbuji-Mayi, DRC with 10 active development programs.
Relief Wakes is ACN's NDIS social enterprise. Revenue generated through Relief Wakes directly funds ACN's charitable programs in Australia and the DRC.

Mission & Vision
Two statements that guide every decision ACN makes — from disability support to community development in the DRC.
Building Sustainable Communities
To provide opportunities for Congolese people living in poverty to transform their lives through community development, business development, microfinance, partnerships, training, and other activities aimed at building strong and sustainable communities.
Empowerment Across Two Nations
To support the empowerment of people in the Democratic Republic of Congo by renewing and restoring local economies; and to support the empowerment of Congolese communities in Australia by building skills and capacities — teaching people to fish for a lifetime.
